On Wednesday 14 December there is the Xmas lunch; details. There is not a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wednesday 9 November Sir Donald Spiers will present “So what have we done since 1866”.  There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wednesday 12 October Gp Capt Peter Bedford will present “Born into Aviation”.

Geoff Barrett. Sadly after a  long illness Geoff passed away peacefully on Friday 16 September. There will be a thanks giving service on Monday 3 Oct 13:30, at Canbury Park Church, Cornerstone Hub, 234a Canbury Park Rd Kingston, KT2 6LF, on right 400m past the old Hawker factory. https://www.cornerstonechurchkingston.org/location/.

Gordon (Jeff) Jefferson. Members will be sad to hear that Gordon, a founder member of the Association, died on 1st October. He has donated his body to medical research, and as a result there will not be a funeral. Instead friends are invited to the family home on Wednesday 12th October for an informal occasion at 16:00 to remember Jeff. For details, or to contact the family, please email Gordon’s son at. Unfortunately this is the date of the next meeting of the Association which means that many members will not be able to attend. A special message from the Association, written by our Chairman, will be read out at this event, as a reminder of Jeff’s valuable contribution to our organisation and our appreciation of his friendship.

On Wednesday 21st September there was an extremely interesting visit to North Weald Heritage Aviation  https://www.facebook.com/NorthWealdHeritageAviation/. Even a P51 Mustang and a Hawker Fury were flown for us; photos.

On Wed 21st September the annual visit is to Weald Aviation, booking and details.

On Wed 14 September there is another of the popular social events where photographs, papers, brochures and other memorabilia to are brought along show each other.

Brian Indge has promised to bring his photograph albums of Ground Test Services’ test rigs.

The Kingston Aviation Centenary Project team will be there to scan photographs for their digital archive. See www.kingstonaviation.org and select “Photo galleries” for some of their current collection. They are particularly keen to get more images of the inside of the factory showing offices, workplaces and manufacturing processes for a special exhibition planned for 2017 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the building of the Richmond Road factory.

17 August Sadly we have heard from Peter Lawrence that Pam Lawrence has died. Her "funeral" service will be at 3.30pm on Tuesday, 23rd August at Randall's Park Crematorium, Leatherhead, KT22 0AG. Afterwards there will be tea at the Woodlands Park Hotel, Stoke D'Abernon, KT11 3QB. Peter also said that Pam's Obituary should be in the Daily Telegraph on Wednesday 17 August.

On Wednesday 10 August there is a social meeting and video. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

27 July Richard Parker tells us that his father John died peacefully on 13 July 2016, after a short illness, at the West Middlesex Hospital. He was 93 years old. His funeral will be at 12 Noon on Wednesday 3 August at South West Middlesex Crematorium, Hounslow Road, Hanworth, Middlesex, TW13 5JH, http://www.swmcrematorium.gov.uk/

On 13 July Gr Capt Cab Townsend gave a very interesting talk on the UK F35B Lightning; Photos.

07 July Sadly we have heard that Percy Collino has died. The funeral is at 15:15 on Friday 15th July at The Oaks Crematorium, Barton Road, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 5NA.

On Wednesday 13 July Gp Capt Ian Townsend will talk on the UK F35B Lightning. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wednesday 8 June there will be the Summer BBQ at 12:30; note the earlier time. Book and pay Ken Batstone, by Friday 3th June, details. There will NOT be a committee meeting in the morning.

12 May Sadly we have heard that Roy Budgen has died. The funeral is at 14:00 on Friday 27 May 2016 at Christ Church, Kingston Road, Staines, TW18 1DR; church details and map

On Wed 11 May Mark Zanker will talk on Combat Operations in the GR7. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wed 13 April there is the Annual General Meeting; please support your Association. After the formal AGM business is completed videos will be shown. Notice of AGM and membership Renew 2016.

On Wednesday 9 March Graham Cooke, Chairman of the Guild of Aviation Artists will talk on Aviation Art and life in the RAF. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

Wednesday 13 February David Hassard will talk on “All shapes and Sizes”,  Private aircraft in British skies. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wednesday 3 February Barry Pegram hosted a lunch to celebrate Ralph Hooper’s 90th birthday; photos.

25 January “The Sopwith Bat Boat” paper back is on special offer at £5 including postage. Details

Wednesday 13 January will feature the annual quiz but it will be presented by Chris Farara instead of Les Palmer. All the questions will be on Sopwith, Hawker and BAe Kingston - history, people and aircraft. Some questions will be multiple choice and none will be obscure! Time permitting there may also be a video show. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.
