The 2nd Summer Barbeque was held on June 8th 2005 in the Hawker Centre and, like last year, took place in beautiful June weather. In fact, it was so warm in the sun, that some members preferred to eat inside the Club rather than outside on the courtyard.
After the meal, Percy Collino made the draw for the raffle using our new Random Number Generator, a huge advance over folding hundreds of tickets and picking the winning numbers by hand. The prizes were an interesting assortment to suit all tastes, ranging from alcoholic beverages to plastic models, all chosen and personally recommended by Percy.
Everybody enjoyed the afternoon and, as last year, considered the event to be a great success. Again as last year, we all owe our thanks to Percy Collino for organising such an enjoyable event and for being such an amiable and successful Raffle-Meister
With the months flashing past, as they seem to nowadays, planning next year's event will be starting very soon! Let's enjoy Christmas and the Association Dinner first though. (Tickets available soon!)
