Hawker Association Summer Barbecue Details

The Annual Summer BBQ will be held on Wednesday, June 11th at the usual venue; the YMCA Hawker Centre in Richmond Road. Members and Guests are requested to arrive by 12.30pm to allow the food to be served by about 1pm.

As usual, the food will consist of the traditional BBQ fare, with a vegetarian option, served with a variety of salads, followed by gateaux with cream, and coffee or tea to finish.

Sadly, it has proved necessary to increase the cost of the BBQ by £1 to £14 per person. Having kept the cost steady for a number of years, this increase was not unexpected as we had asked the YMCA to maintain the quality of the food, which has been excellent these past few years.

It should be noted that, unlike the Xmas Lunch, there will be the normal £2 charge to Members (not Guests) which pays for the hire of the Hall and the regular Raffle! It is hoped that many of you will be able to attend (as last year) to make a very enjoyable afternoon.

Tickets will be on sale at next month's Meeting on May 14th and can be obtained after that date by phoning Ken Batstone on 01932 229938 for details, or sending him a cheque to 42 Kings Road, Walton on Thames, Surrey. KT12 2RA. All tickets MUST be bought by Friday, June 6th for catering purposes.
