Hawker Association 2017 Summer Barbecue Story update 26Jun17  

On Wednesday June 14th, our annual Summer BBQ was held at the YMCA Hawker Centre on a beautiful English Summer's day, so the 27 attendees spent the whole afternoon outside on the patio in the welcome shade of the large trees. The number of attendees was about the same as last year, although three people were unable to attend on the day.

The traditional BBQ food provided by the YMCA was of high quality in large quantities, so nobody remarked about still feeling peckish.

Unlike previous years, when the dessert was gateaux with cream, this time it was a very large banoffie pie, which proved to be very enjoyable and very filling.

The afternoon finished with the raffle, which the organiser said had some excellent prizes!
