The much praised Kingston Aviation Centenary Exhibition has been expanded to include even more photographs and information about the Richmond Road aircraft factory and people who worked in Kingston's aircraft industry. This is particularly relevant to Tudor Drive and north Kingston in general where many of the large workforce lived.

The exhibition will be declared open Saturday 16 February at 2.30pm by Councillor David Cunningham.

There will be slideshow short talks each subsequent afternoon with many rare photographs from the earliest days of the factory in 1918 to 1992 when it closed. (2pm and 3.30pm)

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will be "Hawker people days" when people who worked at Hawker and British Aerospace in Kingston are invited to meet ex-colleagues and exchange stories. Members of the Kingston Aviation Centenary Project oral history team will be there to help and to scan photographs and documents which people bring along for the project digital photo archive.

There will be colouring and story writing competitions for young people with prizes including a free family ticket to the Brooklands Museum at Weybridge and model aircraft  kits.

On Tuesday morning 10am to 12 noon Kingston Museum staff are coming and will host a family drop-in session with Second World War artefacts for children to handle.
