Christmas Lunch 10th December 2008 More photos

 60 Members and Guests attended the 6th annual Xmas Lunch at the YMCA Hawker Centre in Richmond Road, Kingston. The Diners gathered at 12.30pm for drinks and socialising before the meal was served at 1.15. The Hall and tables were most attractively decorated and laid out and when all were seated, the YMCA Staff served the 3-Course Meal, details. As in 2007, the meal was of excellent quality and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

After the meal, the Chairman (Ambrose Barber) and President (John Glasscock) gave short addresses with appropriate toasts. To round off the afternoon, the Christmas Raffle was held, which resulted in 6 Diners going home even happier than the other 54!

The Hawker Association thanked the YMCA Staff for producing such an enjoyable afternoon and expressed its gratitude in the usual remunerative manner.

We now all look forward to the next Association dining event; the Summer Barbeque in June 2009, which we hope will be held in warm, sunny outdoor conditions.
