On Wednesday 9th December the 13th annual Christmas Lunch was held in the YMCA Hawker Centre; story, photos.

On 9 December there will be our annual Association Xmas Lunch. The cost will be £16.50. Details. There will NOT be a committee meeting in the morning.

On 11 November Ltd Cdr Chris Gotke will talk on the Royal Navy Historic Flight. NOTE moved  from 14 October. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On 30September 25 Members and friends enjoyed a first class visit to RAF Northolt and the RAF Bunker at Uxbridge. Story, News letter story, Photos

On 30 September the annual visit will be to the Battle of Brittain Bunker (RAF Uxbridge) and Polish Squadron Museum (RAF Northolt); important details.

On Wed 9 September there is a social event with another opportunity to bring along your photographs and memorabilia to show your ex-colleagues. The Kingston Aviation Centenary Project team will have a scanner set up to make digital copies of photographs if you are happy to have them  added to our archive and possibly loaded onto their website. This proved very popular last year. See www.kingstonaviation.org and select “Photo galleries” for some of their current collection. In many cases you can find names by hovering the cursor over the face. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wed 12 August there will be a social meeting and video. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Tuesday 11 August sadly David Fowler died; the funeral is at Randalls Park Crematorium, Leatherhead, on Tuesday August 25 at 3:30pm.

John Lewendon, formerly of Folland Aircraft and HSA's flight development department at Dunsfold, died suddenly on July 13th. The funeral was on 29th July; details from  J Lawrence & Sons. 023 8055 4801.

Sadly at the age of 97 May White, our Janet's mum, has passed away. Jan has dedicated many year of caring to her late mother and has our deepest sympathy in her loss. The Cremation will be at Mortlake on Wednesday 29 July at 12:40.

Sadly Thelma Hodson wife of Gordon Hodson passed away on Friday 29th May and the funeral will take place at Guildford Crematorium  at 12 noon Wednesday 1st July 2015; details.

Sadly Evelyn Covington, the well known long serving Hawker librarian, died on March 11th. She was cremated in Scotland on April 2nd.

15 July The Constitution document has been updated from Issue 2 to Issue 4 (More people eligible for Membership).

On Wed 8 July Mike Salisbury will talk on “My life in aviation”. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On June 10 it was fine for the BBQ which could be held outside. Story, Photos.

On Wednesday 10 June there will be the Summer BBQ at 12:30; note the earlier time. Book and pay Ken Batstone, by Friday 5th June, details. There will NOT be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wed 13 May Chris Roberts will talk on “First loop to the Red Arrows”. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wed 8 April there is the Annual General Meeting; please support your Association. After the formal AGM business is completed videos will be shown. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

On Wednesday 11 March John Farley will present ‘Some Test Flying Stories’. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

12 February Sadly Richard Baker died on Saturday 7 February at the Princess Alice hospice in Esher. The funeral has been arranged for 1.00 pm on Thursday the 26th February at Kingston Crematorium, Bonner Hill Rd, Kingston on Thames, KT1 3EZ

All his friends and ex colleagues will be very welcome. There will be a get together after for drinks and light refreshments at The Angel Inn, Angel road, Thames Ditton, KT7 0AU.

If you plan to go to the Angel please let his sister Lyn know ASAP by phoning 020 8399 5097 or 07983 863840 so that the caterers can be given an idea of numbers.

On Wednesday 11 February Allen Winn will talk on ‘Brooklands the Future’. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.

8 January Ron Williams, one of Hawker's outstanding project designers (he drew the first GA for what would become the Hawk and devised numerous V/STOL and ASTOVL configurations)) died aged 88 on 8th January. The funeral is on Wednesday 4th February at 3.20pm at North East Surrey Crematorium , Lower Morden Lane Morden Surrey SM4 4 NU, and after at the Morden Brook public house (near the crematorium); all are  most welcome. Anyone wishing to donate can do so through www.watltd.co.uk to either Macmillan Nurses or St Raphaels hospice. The details should on the site very soon.

On Wednesday 14 January there will be a Quiz and social event. There will be a committee meeting in the morning.
