Walk 33 Loxwood - London's Lost Route to the Sea on 20 April 2004


Story on the walk


This is a pleasant walk, just across the border in West Sussex, over pasture lands to discover how a long forgotten canal is being brought back to life. No significant hills just a few styles!

Length: 4.5 miles, 2.5 hours approx + stops.

Start and Finish: In Car Park next to the Onslow Arms, Loxwood, on B2133 about 3 miles South of Alfold Crossways and junction with the A281. Grid Reference: TQ041 311 on OS Landranger Map 186

Time and Date: 11.00 for 11.15 am on Tuesday 20th April 2004.


Notes:

1) Lunch stop at Sir Roger Tichbourne pub, near Loxwood, 12.30 pm onwards

2) There will be a charge of £2 each in aid of The Children’s Trust, Tadworth.

3) Ex-employees, and/or their spouses, of BAE Sytems and predecessor companies will be welcome
