KINGSTON AVIATION
MEMORIAL

Renamed The Kingston Aviation Heritage Project, a planning application is about to be submitted.

When this is approved a major fund-raising effort must be mounted. Les Palmer, in charge of the appeal, needs volunteers to assist with planning and development of a data base of potential donors. He needs people willing to devote a few hours each week to contribute ideas and to help with the dispatching of appeal documents. He expects to start in June/July this year.

Please telephone Les on 01784 460418.
HAWK AWARD

The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers Industry Award for 2003 was recently given to the Hawk.

It was received on behalf of BAE Systems by the Brough General Manager in the presence of their invited guests. Notable by their absence were any Kingston or Rolls Royce people and neither was their contribution to the success of the Hawk even mentioned.

Well, no change there, then. The only Hawker' person present was Duncan Simpson, privately invited by Cobham!
