Book Reviews

The fourth 'British Secret Projects' book has just been published by Ian Allan (£24.99).
By Chris Gibson this fascinating book covers 'Hypersonics, Ramjets and Missiles' and in its 192 well illustrated pages will be found details and GAs of many lesser known Kingston projects as well as a host of new historical information.
'Harrier II; Validating V/STOL', (£19.99) by Lon Nordeen and published by the Naval Institute Press, covers the complete history of the aircraft, not just technically, but also politically, thus elucidating the tortuous route by which the Marines, and the RAF, eventually got their advanced Harrier.
Accuracy was enhanced by assistance to Lon from several Association Members who had been involved with the project.
Both books are available from Midland Counties Publications on 01455 254450.
